Donna has studied, worked, and taught in various schools and non-profits in the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean. Most recently, Donna was Chief Executive Officer and Principal of Wakisha Charter School based in Philadelphia where the school earned AYP and she turned a budget deficient into a surplus in 14 months.
Prior to her administrative experience, Donna was a partner with C&W Consultants, an educational consulting and grant writing business, where she led state approved Act 48 professional development sessions and wrote curriculum for several urban charter schools. Successful grant writing proposals were developed for non-profits and schools on the elementary, secondary, and university levels which generated over one half million dollars.
In addition to launching Comrie Consulting, LLC, Donna is a doctoral candidate and research assistant in the Florida International University's Public Administration Program. She earned her MA in International Studies from Roehampton University in London, England and received her Comprehensive Administrative/ Principal
K-12 Certificate (Cheyney U., PA) to complement her BA in Elementary Education (Penn State, PA).
